What is BALOO?
BALOO is a one-day training event that introduces Cub Scout leaders and parents to the skills needed to plan and conduct pack outdoor activities, particularly pack camping.
Who should attend?
The BSA requires that there be a BALOO certified adult planning and present at any pack-organized campout. A BALOO trained leader must sign tour permits. As least one member of your pack should attend. This could be a Cubmaster, Assistant Cubmaster, Committee Member, Den Leader or a parent.
When and Where?
Gladwyne Scout House, Saturday, April 5, 2014, 8-4pm. To receive credit participants will be expected to attend the entire event.
$12 per person. This fee will cover the cost of lunch and materials. You should bring a camp chair, coffee cup, notepad and pen. Portions of this event will be outdoors - assume cold and wet weather and dress appropriately.
Register below. Registration ends April 2. Walk-in registrations will NOT be accepted.
