Pilgrimage to Valley Forge

What: The tradition of the Pilgrimage will continue in 2020 with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Valley Forge National Historical Park (VFNHP) on the Saturday of Presidents' weekend. The program will consist of a spoken program involving representatives of the Cradle of Liberty Council and the National Park Service, a Revolutionary prayer, and a wreath laying. The event will be free for participants and staff. A special patch will be created, commemorating this auspicious occasion and will be available during registration and at the council office.

When: The ceremony will start promptly at 9 AM and will last approximately 45 minutes. Following the wreath laying ceremony, participants are encouraged to visit the rest of the park or participate in the Valley Forge Historical Trails Program. Trail pamphlets and medals are available through the council's website.

Where: Valley Forge National Memorial Arch

Why:  Scouts and Scouters will gather to honor General George Washington and the Continental Army soldiers that were encamped at Valley Forge during the winter of 1777-1778.

Note: We ordered 100 patches for this event and we have gone past that for orders. We will fill the orders as we can and get the last-minute registrations orders filled on the reordering.
